I got this as a bed to sit in front of my fireplace for my dog to use. She, however, was not the first to use it. The cats sleep on it during the day, the senior dog that loves his bed comes over and sleeps on it for a while and then our puppy will crash for a few hours. The dog it was intended for finally gets about an hour or two in the evening and loves it. I suppose from an animal stand point, this proves it's pretty comfortable.
