I bought this for my 8 week old English Bulldog. It's the best thing and he loves it. He takes all his naps in it and hangs out when chewing a bone or playing with his favorite toy. Puppies love to chew so the hard plastic is fine for that. With all his toys it is only seldom that he chews on it, but at least he isn't tearing apart soft material.
Two adjustments though. When you get it, unzip the cushion bed and take the stuffing out and put it in a big plastic bag and then put it back into the cover. Our puppy had a pee accident on the bed and when I opened it up to wash the cover, it is all just loose stuffing...can't wash that. So we sprayed it with Petzyme and put it in a plastic bag and it is just fine now. Secondly, as with all puppys they love the zippers. Put a toy or something large over that end so they don't chew and tear the fabric away from the zipper.
